The Battle for Cove

Scott and Seth went through the gate.

What news from Britian Lord Seth asked John.

Gather the guild around, we need to talk.

Scott, strap on your valorite and Destiny, you too.

Aye, I havnt worn it yet though.

What is going on Lord asked Falcon.

I will explain when everyone gets here.

All of the guild members started walking out of the Villa.

Everyone gather around, I have some dire issues to address.

The Orcs are rallying outside of Cove, they are massing for an attack. The Seekers of Lost Justice will be fighting for Cove.

Just how many Orcs are there? asked Zeladon

Thousands said Seth. Everyone around Seth started to have worried looks on there faces. We need to fight for Cove, its an essential part of life. Britian gets alot of its crops from merchants in Cove. Cove is apart of Britania and it is out Duty to defend it. We may parish, we may live. I guarauntee nothing, everyone strap on your armor. Lord British's high mage will come by and open mulitple gates for us to enter into Cove safely.

Scott was suddenly terrified, it was just like his dream, all of the faces were now familiar. They were all preparing for war, strapping on there armor, getting regants together.

Seth said Scott, this is just like my dream I told you about, we are all preparing for war, I hope this war is not our doom.

Those who fear death shall meet death, do not let your fears blind you young one, you are not a weak man, but a strong swordsman, have faith.

Scott walked over to John and started wispering, do you want a moment alone with Kathrine I can distract everyone.

Aye that would be greatly appriciated said John with joy.

Scott started walking over and yelling doing roll call, he was also checking to make sure everyone's equipment was in good shape, it was a perfect distraction.

As Scott was doing this John took Kathrines hand and went upstairs. Kathrine had a sad look on her face.

What is the matter M'lady?

John we are going into war, we may never see eachother again.

Do not fret M'lady, I swear we shall meet again.

Its also another thing John, I went into town today because I was feeling ill, the healer told me it was a joyus sickness, she told me that I am pregnant.

Are you serious?

Aye, I dont want to go into battle and die, I want to have our child.

I swear M'lady nothing will happen to our child.

Aye, I will give my very life should an arrow or sword even come close to thy head. Now lets go downstairs before they become suspicous.

John walked downstairs first and started attracting the guild towards him to ensure that Kathrine got downstairs un noticed.

Seth finnally intrupted and said are we all ready.

I sure do hope so said Falcon.

A mage appeared inside the villa, the same one from Scotts dream. Are we all ready he said.

We are ready said Seth.

4 gates open outside and the guild rushed inside of them. They were inside Cove, it was a small town no bigger than Lord Britishes castle, I might want to add that Lord Britishes castle was not normal, it was a caslte made for a king. They spread around outside waiting for orders.

Lord Seth so good to see you said a familiar voice, it was Puma.

What are you doing here? asked Seth.

Leading defences here, the Orcs are rallying one mile away from Cove gate. I have placed archers all across the wall but should the Orcs have ladders we are in trouble.

Then I will put some of my men up there.

Ok said Puma

Seth started naming off people to go to the top.

Diezle

Chrono

Dante

Marcus

Gunner

You 6 shall take the top and kick down any ladders that should come up, I should warn you that the Orcs will have arrows so try not to get shot, if any Orcs should climb up kill them right away and kick the ladder.

Will do M'lord said Marcus.

The six climbed ladders and made there post. Gunner was ever watchfull of the outside ever since that Orc arrow nearly killed him.

Everyone else, you fight on the ground with the rest.

By the way Puma, how many men do you have here?

2000 men and 1000 more on the way by gate, they are arriving at the docks one gate at a time.

Alright men and women, take rest, the we will sound the bell should any Orcs approach.

Scott immediatly sat down and went to sleep, he wanted all the rest he could get before a big battle.

Scott had the dreams again, except this one was new, he was back in Yew, there was one major problem, dead lay everywhere, Orc and Human, Buildings torched. Scott ran to his home where Caend had now lived, he went inside and there stood a big brutish Orc, I have been expecting you it said, it took a big swing towards his head, Scott woke up screaming, and also to his supprise the war bells were ringing. Puma was yelling for everyone to take there positions.

What do you see up there? yelled Seth to Gunner

Uhhh Orcs, many of them said Gunner nervously.

How many? asked Seth

I couldnt tell you, thousands said Gunner.

Oh my god said Seth.

Prepare for battle yelled Scott.

The War bells kept ringing. The archer commanded was yelling for them to get there bows ready. They all fastended there bows. The Orcs stood waiting for somthing, the Orcs started growling like foul beasts. They stood there, the archers stood there with there bows still ready. A command was yelled and the Orcs started running forward, the archers let out there arrows and continued to fire more and more arrows into the the huge crowd of Orcs. Ladders as they had heard started appearing. The first one swumg up near Lindsey, she immediatly kicked it. More and more ladders started coming up, the 5 warriors started kicking them down but there were too many, the first Orc came up and ran towards Dante, he parryed the blow and took off its head. In that time 5 more Orcs had gotten up, the warriors were attacked and attacked. There were now 20 Orcs that had reached the top, Dante was fighting bravely taking out Orcs all over the place when all of a sudden he was speared from behind. Gunner had let out a mighty cry as he continued to shoot the incoming Orcs. Diezle and Lindsey were soon fighting side by side but that would soon to be proved unuseful as Diezle was struck with a Sword at the collar bone. Seth had seen both men fall and was now in tears along with Scott and Falcon. Marcus was killing and kicking down as many ladders as he possibly could, Lindsey was now near Gunner protecting him from any Orc that come near, Suddenly arrows started to fly towards the gate and one had struck Chrono in the stomach killing him. It was now Marcus, Lindsey and Gunner up on the top fighting bravley, a siege ram was approaching the gate, the archers were shooting the people who were moving it but when an Orc died another took its place. The ram started crashing into the gate now. Gunner and 3 other archers started shooting only at the Orcs who were moving the Ram. Marcus was now trying to protect archers from any incoming Orcs but he soon fell to the same fate as the rest had, he was shot in the back of the head by an arrow. The archer commander had fallen, Puma was getting men to set latters so the surviors could come down. Puma yelled over and over get down get down before you die fools. Archers started walking down the ladders, Lindsey was killing Orcs that were going near them, all were down but Lindsey, as she went towards the ladder she was stabbed. Seth had let out a scream, all the people but one died up there, he felt guility, he felt he had lead them into a death trap.

Everyone on the ground prepared, Scott had gripped his sword. The door was nearly broken. Scott whispered to himself, may god have mercy on us all. The door was broken and orcs started swarming in, there were many of them, Scott started was carefull where he swung for he did not want to kill an allie. Orcs started to kill Lord Britishes army all around. The first Orc Scott faught in the battle ran towards him without fear, Scott parryed his strike and ran him threw, more Orcs started coming towards Scott, All he could do was parry and strike. Falcon was not to far away from Scott doing the same thing, together John and Kathrine fought, Destiny fought near Seth and Ody as they casted spells, Wartooth was no where to be seen. Abe had fallen down due to a wandering arrow, Diver had been slain by 5 orcs that surrounded him. Scott continued to fight bravely but growing very tired, ahead of him Puma also fought bravely but sadly an Orcish sword had taken his head. John and Kathrine started to battle more closely to Scott, together the three of them were taking Orcs by the number. Lord Britishes forces started to thin, there were about 1000 left and the Orcs kept on flowing them in pushing them back.

Do not let them get into the town yelled John, everyone started to fight harder, but so did the Orcs, there numbers were coming in fewer, but it did not matter everyone was exhausted. Dues, Kayla, Aidan, Bowen, Callen and Eden had fallen to the Orcish blade. Suddenly louder screams were heard, a huge massive Orc had passed threw the gate, a loud voice yelled Xal Nog. Scott grew terribly afraid, the large Orcish creature, more massive than any other there started killing people with his sword, he saw Scott, grinned and ran towards him screaming, the huge Orcish creature trying to split him in half but instead of his shield, his shield split in two, Scott ran back to where a dead soldier lay, on the ground next to his hand slayed a katana, Scott picked it up and immediatly and started to fight the huge Orc with two katanas in his hand. The Orc took a swing at Scotts head, he stopped the blade with the left katana and attacked with the right, the Orc countered, Scotts back was exposed and the Orc went for another slice but Scott kicked it in the gut, he went in for another attack, hit with his right katana and turned for a slice with the left, over and over, they continued to fight. Seth turned his attention to Scott and looked at him in fear as he watched him fight for his life against the strong Xal Nog, Scott heard a cracking back of a bow, the Orc struck the sword out of Scotts left hand, Scott side kicked him in the stomache knocking him back, he heard the arrow flying towards his head parryed it out of the way and threw his dagger and the Bow handler hitting it in the stomache. The spells of Seth were now heard loudly has he was killing any Orc which came near Scott, Scott ran back, picked up another katana and continued to fight, Gunner had seen the fight between Scott and the Xal Nog, he drew back his bow and fired at it, the orc heard the arrow and parried it but as it did so Scott ran him threw with his left katana pull the blade out, cut off the Orcs arms, then cut the Orcs throught.

Scott continued back into the battle, killing Orcs with both Katana's. Kathrine and John were soon near Scott again. An Orc kicked Kathrine down, went to finish off the job then John let out a might war cry and started to fight the Orc. Scott had looked over, it was another Xal Nog Orc. John cut off the Orcs left arm and in anger it ran John threw. Kathrine and Scott let out a mighty cry, Scott ran over and cut off the Xal Nogs head, Kathrine was at the ground where Johns body lay. He was not dead but in great pain. I can heal you cried Kathrine, no its to late said Kathrine, scott I want you to take care of my child, he will not have me in this world, he will need a father figure. Will do cried Scott, Scott left the body of his fallen friend and started to fight with more anger now. Zeladon was fighting close to Scott in tears over his many fallen comrads, the Orc forces continued to flow in, there were 200 of Lord Britishes army left, Suddenly gates started to appear, multiple gates, people started appearing threw them, tamers, dragons, mages, warriors. Who knew what guild they were from, they started to advance to the front and kill Orcs, the dragons were killing mulitple Orcs at a time, no more Orcs were flowing in, they were all retreating. There were no more Orcs in Cove.

Scott sat down on the ground, in tears, the surviving guildmates joined him, wartooth came, he was alive just fighting elsewhere. Scott moved next to Kathrine. I will hold true to my promise, I swear it, it is what John wanted. Aye cried Kathrine.

Where is John? yelled Seth.

He's dead said Scott.

Dammit, I sent everyone into this death trap, I am sorry everyone, I am so damm sorry. I am so damm sorry, Seth was now in tears.
