Fate of a Swordsman

The Road to Yew

Scott heard Seths voice in the distance echoing, Scott was now trampling over dead bodys and passing through the remainder of cove gate. He held his katana close for he knew it would be a very dangerous ride, the Orcs retreated which meant they were out in the woods or quite possible blocking the road. Scott knew that he had to go north on the road untill it turned west, but he was not sure he would make it there with all of the Orc around, Scott had seen a band of Orcs up ahead of about 15, a few of them had limbs missing from the battle, there was one wielding a bow and he shot at Scott while quickly passing by nearly hitting him, the Orc shot again but by that time Scott was to far away for a good shot. The Orc let out a mighty scream and yelled somthing in Orcish, this was not good, the road ahead of Scott began to fill with Orc, it was a trap for any who dared pass. Wielding his sword tightly he swung at the closes Orcs near, there were at least 100 of them, one had stabbed Scott in the leg as he was passing by them, Scott lets out a scream. Though a leg wound would not keep him down he continued to ride, arrows were now flying past Scotts head and one nearly struck the horse, the Orcs kept on shooting but Scott was now out of range, he had now realized the danger of the road behind and he prayed that no one had followed behind him. He was wrong.

A mile behind Scott was Johnny, he was the massive band of Orcs that had gathered at the road and stopped, he turned around and headed back to Cove, he uttered the words Kal Sanct. He had ran into Seth who was heading in his general direction. Go back said Johnny, Orcs at the road, Orcs at the road. Seth had gotten the message rather clearly and headed back with Johnny.

Scotts wound sputtering out blood all over the horse and ground was causing Scott massive pain. He commanded the horse to stop and he got off, falling on the ground due to lack of blood. He took cloth out of his pack and started to cut off blood circulation so that he would not bleed to death. In great amounts of pain he got back onto his horse and road on, he had not yet gotten to the point of the road that went East, he was worried, what if there are more Orcs up there he said, I had better be more careful.

For hours he road it was now 3 hours past nightfall, he grew tired he had not slept for awhile now, he was determined to keep on riding, he kicked the horse and commanded it to move faster.

It was now 4 hours past nightfall and he was at the road where it went west, he turned and continued to ride on. About one hour later he had heard a sharp bending back of wood, he threw his sword up but it was too late, he was not shot but his horse was right threw the head, the horse dropped without pain, it was an instant death, part of the horse fell on Scott, he struggled to free himself, he heard a bow bend back and Scott swung his sword hitting the arrows, Scott continued to struggle free and he finnally did, but as he stood up with great pain his was shot in the same spot he was stabbed, he let out a mighty scream, his right leg was covered in blood, he now knew where the Orc was, with an adreniline rush he ran towards the Orc and struck him down. Scott then fell to the ground, he was in too much pain to stand up, he was now struggling to pull the arrow out of his leg but he could not. Scott grabbed more cloth outside of his pack and wrapped it wherever he could. In massive amounts of pain he made his way to Yew, trying not to scream because he did not wish for the Orcs to hear him, he travelled close to the road but not too close.

Scott walked untill dawn, he was not far away from Yew, the pain in his leg was to great to not scream. Scott walked for two more hours and saw men clad in armor along mages, they were not Orc, Scott let out a scream and limped towards them. Oh my god said one of the mages, he ran towards Scott as he fell to the ground. Scott was very tired and in great pain. Here laddy let me help you said the mage, this may hurt a little bit, the mage put his hand on the arrow and said, Vas Flam, the arrow was incinerated and Scott let out a mighty scream as the fire went into his leg. In Vas Mani said the mage. Scott's wound began to close up. He looked at the mage and thanked him, taking a closer look at his face he knew it was Ramsion, the same Ramsion who told him about Seth, thank you Ramsion said Scott getting up, but I must be on my way to Yew. Picking up his Sword Scott ran on the road towards Yew, the town was a flame.
