The Road to Recovery

It was the start of Janruary and the winter weather was approaching fast, Falcon made many trips a day out into the woods just to get fire wood. Scott's wound was healing up quite nicely and Caend had began his training with Falcon. One day on a snowy afternoon Lord Britishes newly appointed high guard came to visit us. His name was Calos.

Greetings Calos said Seth as he walked inside.

Greetings Lord Seth, I bring dire news from Lord British.

What is the matter? said Seth

The Orcs have built a fort right on the other side of the mountain in Cove. There forces rally outside of the forest covering the area's from Yew to Britian and Cove to Britian. There is also another threat that has been left unresolved for a few months now. The growing number of undead rallying outside of Britian. We fear that they may be associating with Mal-Uk. We belive that they want Britian. What we plan on doing is sending in gates all over Cove, we plan rally around the mountain and launch a fule scale attack on the Orc Fort withering there forces quite a bit deal.

Also for the undead there is nothing we can really, we do not want to send men into an ambush, we hate to say this but an attack on Britian may happen. As far as Scouts have seen they have creatures ranging from skeletons to Liches and Lich Lords, even Deamons. There is also an undead women riding a skeletal mount who is belived to be the champion of the undead. She was thought to be a mith but apparently not, her name is Neira.

Well what do you want us to do about this said Seth, we do not have as many men and women as we once did and Scott is still recovering from the last encounted with a Xal Nog.

Scott? who is that?

He has slain 2 Xal Nog Orc, he fought his 3rd in Yew and nearly fell to his doom.

Really? well that is an amazing feat, you will half to do without him, it is Lord Britishes orders that you and any un injured of your guild report to Britian in two weeks. You will be apart of the attack on the Orc Fort.

Scott hearing the news, stumbled out of bed and went downstairs.

Scott, I thought you were sleeping said Seth.

I was said Scott, Calos woke me up. Scott gave a little chuckly gripping his wound.

Your Scott said Calos? but your just a boy.

16 to be exact, actually I turn 17 in april. Now what is this about battle?

What about Caend? said Scott

Under Lord Britishes orders he must come into battle too.

Well then I am coming too he has been training with a Sword only for a few weeks now, I am not letting him die out there.

Dammit Scott why must you do this said Seth.

Your letting him go said Calos.

I have no choice he is too damm stuborn if we make him stay here he will slip out behind our backs.

Well then good day said Calos, he road outside into a gate still there.

Where is my sword? said Scott

We dont really know, so we bought you 2 new ones. Seth went over to a chest and brought out two bronze katana's.

Why would I need two? said Scott

Iv seen you fight said Seth laughing, as soon as your shield breaks your off picking up another katana on the ground.

What is Caend using?

A basic katana said Seth

Bah he needs somthing better I will just give him one of mine. Where is that bastard anyway?

Outside training with Falcon, I suggest you dress warmly it is bitterly cold outside. Scott grabbed the two katana's ignoring his wound. He put them down, dressed up in a heavy black shirt along with a black robe and red cape, grabbed the two katanas and went outside. He watched Falcon and Caend spar for awhile, Caend was fumbling greatly while Falcon moved with ease.

Hey you two kids gonna take a break or what? said Scott

Scott!! yelled Caend. Your out of bed.

Yea I heard some talk about war, get over here Caend and drop the damm katana.

Ok said Caend.

Scott looked at Caend, this was just Scott giving Caend a spare sword, but to Caend it meant much more, he looked at it in awe and joy. He turned around and asked Scott a question that sure did suprise him.

Should I name him? asked Caend with joy.

Its a sword Caend but sure.

Well good quality huh? Well than I shall call you Buster.

Buster laughed Scott, sure is a queer name.

Why I outta smack you across the face you smart ass laughed Scott. Now get inside Seth has some news.

Everyone walked inside and Seth informed everyone inside, which was basically the whole guild but Kathrine, but she was not going to be going due to the fact that she was going to be bearing a child in almost 6 months.

By the end of the week Seth could cast his healing spell to complete Scott's road to Recovery. There was one week left and Scott took Falcon's position as trainer of Caend.
