Fate of a Swordsman

Training Day

The sun had not even peeked over the horizon yet and Scott was awake. He looked around for his valorite armor but then realized it had been destroyed. He grabbed his swords, walked over to Caend. He thought of the days back in Yew as a farm boy trying to wake Caend up, he would throw rocks at the window, one time he actually broke one and Anubus nearly killed him. Scott thought of an idea, he grabbed a pitcher of water from the barrel outside, walked over Caend and poured it all over his face.

Caend fast asleep jumped right out of his bed. Whats the big idea? said Caend.

Today we begin your training said Scott

But I have already started said Caend

Today we begin your training, with me said Scott. Now get up and get your sword grab some bread if you must.

Scott walked outside soon followed by Caend munching on some bread, Caend ate the bread and walked over to Scott.

First order of the day Caend, I want you to take your sword, strike down and split my head horizantally.

What yelled Caend

Just do it. Caend swung down as hard as he could, realizing Scott was not there anymore, he soon realized that Scott was behind him and had a dagger to his throat.

Lesson one - Learning how to use the Octagon.

The Octagon? said Caend with a puzzled look about his face.

The Octagon is the 8 corners which you must move by, but you will not be able to move by the Octagon in a large scale battle due to the fact that there is no room to move.

Well how do I move by the Octagon.

Scott grabbed the sword off his back. I am going to very slowly do the same strike you did, get out of the way, move to your left.

Caend moved while Scott was slowly striking, he did not even finnish his strike.

Very good Caend.

Members of the guild just waking up came outside including Seth.

Now I am going to drop my sword and punch at your face, do the same.

Scott dropped his sword and fired full force at Caend's face, he froze and Scott punched him in the face knocking him on the ground and breaking his nose.

Seth gave a loud laugh and casted heal

In Vas Mani.

Caend's nose was no longer broken.

Now Caend, you cannot freeze like that.

Well you were coming at me full force.

So? you cannot fear pain or death, that is the key.

Johnny now came outside and got on his ostard.

I am going into town to get the runes you wanted Seth, and since it is such a nice day I figured I would take good ole Naminto.

What does Naminto mean? asked Seth

It is an elvish name, common amoungst warriors.

Oh said Said Seth, I dont know the Bromartian Elvish language

Johnny rode off into the distance and Scott and Caend continued there training. For hours they practiced movement on the octagon, moving out of the way and going in for the swift kill. A monk from Bromarth had once brought the Octagon to Britiania. He tought the finest warriors, all the warriors were greedy though and did not want to share there secrets, except for one.

It was now noon and Scott was getting tired from all the attacking but Caend was not since he was merly getting out of the way.

Let us have lunch Caend, I grow tired from all the attacking.

By dinner time Caend was getting better at movement on the Octagon.
