Fate of a Swordsman
Into the Fortess
As Scott walked into the fortress Seth casted heal to ensure that he could easily use his hand. Falcon ran behind him screaming for Scott to wait up. There was no stopping Scott though, he walked through the fortress and was cutting down any Orc that he saw.
Falcon finnally caught up behind him.
Are you mad? Your going to get yourself killed.
So be it yelled Scott, they have taken my friends, my family away from me. I will kill them all like the animals they are.
Jesus Scott I dont want to die but if your going in there so am I.
Go back, take care of Johns child for me.
No, let Caend do it I am coming with you.
Scott continued to walk through, there were not as many Orcs inside as planned because they were all in the courtyard fighting. Scott entered a big room, filled with about 20 orcs. The guards ran towards him and Scott easily killed them.
On a throne near the end of the room stood a rather old looking Orc. Next to him stood Kal-Noth and Kal-Tanalth.
In front of them stood 4 more big looking Xal-Nog Orc and in the room there was a much more skinny Orc wielding a spell book. He walked towards the older Orc sitting on the throne. Father, this is the human. What about the other coming up behind him.
A friend of his maybe.
Greetings human said the Orc standing up, long have I waited to meet you. You have grown strong I see.
Who are you yelled Scott.
Foolish child, you should know who I am.
Maluk?
Yes, long have I waited to meet you. Oh and I imagine you have already met Tal-Nath.
No I have not said Scott
Come on Scott, lets get the hell out of here.
Silence fool said Tal-Nath. You do know me, I am the one who showed you how your parents died. The Orc laughed hard.
Scott had a look of anger on his face.
What do you want with me? said Scott, why do you insist on tormenting me.
Did your father not tell you?
Tell me what?
Ha ha so the old fool did not tell you.
Tell me what said Scott.
Well if I told you, then your torment would not nearly be as fun.
Let me know dammit, why must you insist on tormenting me!
Well if you must know, your great great grandfather Salmandor possesed a great power. He was a very powerful warrior. He was also one of the most powerful mages in Bromarth. He and his wife Shelima had 10 babies, which all grew to become excellent mages. But the dark gods of Bromarth took controlled of there emotions and they killed Salmandor. Together with there great power they formed a guild. The Dark Mages of Bromarth. The oldest was the only one to re-produce and had only one child. This one child grew up to become a mighty warrior and did not follow in his fathers footsteps his name was Socalath. His father gave him an offer. He was to become the guardian of the dark mages. Socalath refused this offer and quickly fled to Britania. In his anger and desperation to have a warrior and a person who could bring swift destruction to Bromarth, your great grandfather and the other 9 dark mages made me and my wife. You know my story, but your grandfather had a baby, your father Calantos. Calantos did not want to become a warrior or a mage he did not like the idea of combat. Socalath returned to Bromarth and was never heard from again. Your father Calantos had a farm and a beatiful wife, they had a child, your brother Johnny. They feared the Dark Mages would take and kill there only son so they brought him to Bromarth and left him under the care of his mothers father who was a great Bromarthian mage named Zaltos. A few years later they had not heard any news about the Dark Mages for years, they thought they might have died of age but no. They remained in the Prime physical condition. Due to all of the service the dark gods gave them immortality. They had another baby, you.
So see Scott, this is why I torment you and this is why you must die For your ancestor is Salmandor the greatest warrior known to mankind. You alone pose a threat to the Dark Mages and the Xal Nog... you must die!.
That said all the Xal Nog started running towards Scott and Falcon, with quick haste they ran the other way. Running down the hallways of the fortress they saw Seth and the remaining guildmates, Seth saw what was behind them and casted energy bolt on the roof blocking the path of the Xal Nog.
Lets get out of here said Scott.
Seth opened the gate and everyone followed.
